“Regional Program on Remittances and Diaspora Investment for Rural Development” (RPRDIRD)
Nepal Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperative unions Ltd. (NEFSCUN) is the member based national apex organization of Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies (SACCOS) and their District Unions (DUs). NEFSCUN is committed to the development, promotion and strengthening of its member organizations through supporting SACCOS and DUs in their aim to contribute for the upliftment of financial, social and cultural aspiration of individual members of respective community by following the international credit union principles.
ACCESS Advisory, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit corporation organized under the laws of the Republic of the Philippines and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission, and with address at 3F Montivar Building, 34 Jupiter St. corner Planet St., Bel-Air Village, Makati City, Philippines.
On 25 February 2015, ACCESS was awarded a grant agreement (“Grant”) by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (“IFAD”) to implement the Regional Programme on Remittances and Diaspora Investment for Rural Development (“Programme”). The objective of the Programme is to facilitate savings and investment by migrants into local economies via local financial institutions. It will be implemented over three years, from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2018.
NEFSCUN has fulfilled the selection criteria for inclusion in the Programme and is willing to provide counterpart support as required by access advisory for two years.

The main objective of this project through NEFSCUNis to count the contribution of credit union in promoting the saving of the remittance.

- VYCCU Savings and Credit Cooperative, Ltd, Nawalparasi
